Open / close checklist

Seasonal ticks for opening and winterizing. Saves in this browser per tab.

• Pick a stretch of mild weather (not a freeze night)
• Remove and clean/store the cover
• Remove leaves and gross debris from water and deck
• Top up water to normal operating level
• Reinstall ladders, returns, cleaners; check plugs and fittings
• Inspect filter media; clean or replace as needed
• Prime pump, start circulation, check for leaks
• Test FC, pH, TA, CYA (and salt if SWG)
• Balance TA/pH; establish sanitizer residual
• Shock if water sat dirty or FC is near zeroUse dose tool as a start.
• Brush walls and floor; vacuum
• Run filter until water is clear; retest next day
